Claire - Interior Designer (volunteer)
As a volunteer with the Glasshouse I’ve had the privilege of seeing this Chelsea project through from the start… helping with the design of the installation and working closely with Kali and the women to ensure that everything runs to plan and the installation represents everything that The Glasshouse stands for.
After 5 days of hard graft, Day 7 saw The Glasshouse Effect truly coming to life and be noticed at press day. From Julia Bradbury to our new supporter Katie Piper, we had a diverse mix of people take part in today’s events. At one point there was around 10 photographers taking pictures of our two women who braved ‘the walk’ where team members from an exhibit parade round Chelsea to promote the exhibit.
The team work and camaraderie during build up week is the thing that’s impacted me most of all, with everyone pulling together and working so incredibly hard throughout. I’ve also loved watching the women thrive and grow working under pressure and seeing their vision come to life… the glasshouse truly represents each and every one of the women and is testament to their strength and resilience. I feel so lucky to have been a part of this project ❤️
